Peter Guttridge is a novelist, critic, writing teacher and a chairperson/interviewer at a wide range of literature festivals and events. He has just stepped down from his eleven year role as crime fiction critic of the Observer newspaper. He is the RLF Writing Fellow at Bradford University.

"CITY OF DREADFUL NIGHT" and "THE LAST KING OF BRIGHTON", the first two of his Brighton trilogy, are out now. The third, "THE THING ITSELF", will be published in April 2012. French publisher LE ROUERGUE will be publishing "CITY" in translation in March 2012.
